Lighthouses of Prayer
"You are the light of the World. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven." Matthew 5:14-16.
A "Lighthouse of Prayer" is simply a "household" of one or more believers praying specifically for the felt needs and salvation of lost people within their neighborhoods and perimeter of influence.
Lighthouses produce in reality a mantel of prayer that opens the heavens over the city so that the light of the Gospel begins to shine through to the minds of lost people. It will dramatically change the quality of life in our cities.
Lighthouses of Prayer have the effect of creating spiritual burden and responsibility for the lost at the most basic and most effective level with the result of the "Church" of the city then beginning to grow.
Many "Lighthouses" have been established in our Gateway area. If you desire to become a Lighthouse of Prayer, contact the church office.
