- February 19th -- "I brake for Wise People"
- Scripture: Proverbs 19:20
Listen to counsel and accept discipline, That you may be wise the rest of your days.
Observation:
Todays reading reminds us all to listen to those around us, take advice from others & don't try to deal with life alone. And, if necessary take discipline for our own actions or words, listening to those who are wiser than we are and applying what we learn will help us to be wiser in our own lives.
Application:
God is speaking to me today telling me to slow down and seek the advice of those who have been around the block a few times and know a little more than me on how to handle a certain situation I have going on in my life. Sometimes I have an attitude of "I can do or handle anything" but I don't know the 1st thing about how to solve the situation. God is telling me to seek the advice of those wiser and next time should the problem arise again I will have the knowledge from what i learned before.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for showing me that I need the knowledge and wisdom of those around me and I don't have to go it alone. AMEN!
