- February 5th -- "Go And Sin No More"
- Scripture: John 8:10-11
And straightening up, Jesus said to her, "woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?" And she said "no one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go your way. From now on sin no more."
Observation:
The Scribes & Pharisees brought a woman before Jesus who had been caught in the act of adultery and said to Him "according to the law Moses was given such a woman was to be stoned." They were bringing this to Jesus to test Him. Jesus put the situation right back in their laps Saying, "He who is without sin let him throw the first stone." All of her accusers thought this over and left. Jesus looked at the woman and asked, "where are your accusers to condemn you." She said, "there is no one." And Jesus said, "nor do I condemn you, go and sin no more."
Application:
They say we are our own worst critics. Many times I have stumbled and would stew on my sin and beat myself up over & over again for it. When I asked God to forgive me I would be reminded of this story in the bible and would remember that God has not condemned me so if God the holy one of heaven is not condemning me then I should let it go and sin no more.
Prayer:
Jesus, when I sin let me stop immediately, ask for Your forgiveness and help me to sin no more. AMEN!
